Winger.

Joined his home town club Oldham Athletic in 1926 but failed to make an appearance. On his release he joined Bacup Borough FC. Molineux was his next stop where he made 19 appearances on the wing, in the Central League before moving to Chesterfield. Saltergate saw him make his League debut and a further seven League appearances before dropping back into Non-league circles.
