Career: Everton juniors, professional in 1896, Bristol City 1897, Bedminster Dec 99, WOLVES Dec 00, Retired 1901.
Baker joined Everton as a junior, turning professional in 1896. He made 10 Football League appearances on Merseyside before transferring to Bristol City. At Ashton Gate he made 33 appearances and helped them to the Runners-up spot of the Southern League in 1898. He then joined south Bristol rivals Bedminster and made a further 24 appearances before Bristol City and Bedminster amalgamated in 1900.
He signed for Wolves in 1900 but his time was only short and lasted just half a season as he had to retire though injury just five months later. Barker made just 16 appearances before hanging up his boots.
