Aberdeen FC

Scottish club, Aberdeen were formed in 1903 and won the Scottish League on four occasions. Wolves have faced Aberdeen on seven occasions in friendlies. They first faced them in the United States Tournament in June 1967 and the match ended 1-1 with Wolves scorer being Dave Burnside who was also sent off. The match was then declared void as Wolves had used too many substitutes. The Dons won the re-arranged fixture but both sides reached the final. The final held at Los Angeles saw Wolves win 6-5 after extra time with Dave Burnside this time scoring a hat-trick. Wolves next encounter with the Pittodrie club came in 1972 and they faced each other four times in a North American Exhibition Tour. Aberdeen won the first two in San Francisco and Seattle with Wolves winning the second two in Vancouver and Los Angeles. This time John Richards netted a hat-trick in Los Angeles.
