Bridgnorth Town FC

Bridgnorth Town were formed in 1949 and dissolved in 2013. There matches were played at Crown meadow and they are nicknamed ‘The Town’.  A new club AFC were formed and also play three matches at the ‘Meadow’ ground.

Wolves have visited Crown Meadow on three occasions with the first coming during the 1981/82 season. Wolves won 2-1 with Hugh Atkinson netting a brace. With both clubs sponsored by Tatung the clubs met again in 1982/83 season and Wolves won thanks to as goal from Jon Laws. In May 1988 clubs met again and this time for the Allan Rogers Testimonial. The match ended in a 1-1 with Jon Purdie netting for the Wanderers.
