Gloucester City FC

The ‘Tigers’ were formed in 1883 and the ‘Reserves’ regularly faced Wolves juniors in the Birmingham & District League. Wolves biggest win 6-1 at Molineux on 7 May 1951, saw Skull net four as well as Ken Whitfield and Stuart net one reach. On 27 November 1948 Cameron Buchanan netted a hat-trick against Gloucester and ex-Wolves forward Reg Weaver netted a staggering 78 goals for the Tigers during the 1937-38 season. They were members of the Southern League from 1946 to 2009. Today they compete in the National League.
