Leeds United FC

United were formed following the demise of Leeds City and were elected into the Football League almost immediately in 1920 to replace Lincoln City. They were promoted to the First Division in only their fourth season in 1923/24. United have gone on to win the League title on three occasions in 1969, 1974 and 1992, the FA Cup 1972, League Cup 1968 and the European Fairs Cup in 1968 and 1971. They lost the European Cup final, to Bayern Munich in 1975. Leeds were Promoted with Wolves in 1932 and Relegated together in 1982 and from the Premier League in 2004. The first fixture between the two clubs came at Molineux on 15 January 1920 and Wolves won comfortably 3-0 with goals from Sammy Brooks and in the second-half Frank Burrill and Dick Richards.
