Wolves have faced Canadian opposition on just four occasions. The first came as early as 30 December 1891 when the Canadians’ touring team arrived in Wolverhampton. Wolves had an easy victory with a 9-0 score line and the scorers were both Wood and Booth with hat-tricks and Baker, Burleigh and Heath with one each. All the other encounters came during the summer of 1963 when Wolves toured both Canada and the United States. Wolves were victorious on each occasion with 5-1 over Montreal Cantella, a 2-1 win over West Victoria All Stars came next and then a 4-1 success over the Vancouver All Stars.
