Penalties: After just 20 minutes Burnley were awarded a spot-kick but after protest from Wolves the Referee consulted his Linesman and ultimately gave Burnley just a corner. Two minutes after half-time for Burnley were awarded a second spot kick, this time for handball against Steve Kindon. It was taken by Willie Morgan who hit the post but Ray Hankin netted the rebound.
