Signed from Witton Albion Herbert Belcher made 17 appearances in the Birmingham Combination for the juniors with his debut coming against Halesowen Town at Bushbury on 25 August 1934. His Reserves debut came four days later at Derby County and a month later he helped the side beat Port Vale in he Staffordshire Cup Semi-final. Belcher a Half-back went onto make 10 appearances for the Reserves.
