Bewley’s debut for the club came at Birmingham ‘A’ in September 1938 in the Birmingham Combination and his only appearances for the clubs Reserves came at Bury in October 1938. He helped Fulham to promotion to the First Division in 1949 but suffered Relegation with them during his second spell when he didn’t make an appearance for the First Eleven. Bewley was a full-back who had played for the English Schools.
