Born in Blackpool on 13 November 1944 and joined Wolves in 1961. He joined Blackburn Rovers in July 1962 and Barrow in March 1964 where he finally made his League bow. He spent two season at Barrow and in both they had to apply for Re-election. In 1965 he joined Norwich City but failed to make the grade.
