Hooliganism: Although Chelsea fans had been banned from the terraces by the Sports Minister Denis Howell, 3,000 turned up for the match. Trouble flared all over the town centre and a Police horse was floored by the Molineux Hotel. Police officers described the scenes inside the ground as pandemonium.
Landmark: Derek Parkin makes his 400th League appearance and George Berry makes his League debut.
