Note: This kick-off was delayed by 35 minutes because the Crewe team arrived late. In that time Emilio Aldecoa arrived just before kick-off with a letter of introduction from his club Brocton FC (Stafford). He replaced Jimmy Lee who was already stripped to play. Because the change was so late and as he was being signed no announcement was made to anybody. The clubs directors didn’t even know.
Newspaper: As a consequence of the late arrival of Aldercoa, some reports have Dickie Dorsett as netting both Wolves goals.
