Injuries: Everton were missing eight players and it is said to have been put down by ‘cruel treatment’ on the part of Preston North End two days before.
Landmark: Abe Hartley makes his Everton debut following his transfer from Scottish side Dumbarton.
Own Goal: Playing against a heavy wind it is believed the first ‘Toffs’ goal was in fact an own goal from Harry Allen. Wolves keeper Billy Rose fisting out punched the ball off Allen’s head.
