League Status: Everton came to Molineux top of the league.
Landmark: Tommy Lawton makes his 100th league appearance. He had made his Everton debut, against Wolves in February 1937. Alex McIntosh nets the 100th League goal between the two clubs at Wolves.
Guests: Amongst the crown were many other club managers and the secretary of the Football League, Mr F. Howarth.
Re-Arranged: Match moved from February 11th because of the club’s involvement in the FA Cup.
