Injuries: Punching the ball clear from a corner in the first-half Tony Macedo received torn ligament in his arm and did not reaper until the second minute of the second-half. When he did come back on, he had his arm in a sling and played on the wing. Subsequently James Langley went between the sticks and Reg Lowe move to left-back. Wolves keeper Malcolm Finlayson was knocked unconscious after colliding with Maurice Cook in the 55th minute. After treatment he played on.
