Penalties (two turn to five): Both spot kicks were awarded for fouls on Paddy Mills the second by Victor Fox. The first was taken and scored by Mick O’Brien but had to be taken as was taken by Mills. Mills scored but again but the Referee ordered a second retake thirteen minutes in to the second-half. The second spot-kick was taken and scored by George Whitworth. Again t had to retaken and again Whitworth scored. All retakes were for encroachment.
Note: Noel George faced five penalties and three different takers.
