Wolves only meetings with Irish opposition in competitive competition came against Derry City in the Texaco Cup in 1970/71 and Crusaders in 2019-20. All other meetings have come in friendlies in Ireland accept for meetings against Glentoran and Shamrock Rovers in the summer of 1967 when Wolves faced these clubs in the United States Tournament. Glentoran were beaten 4-1 and a 1-1 draw took place against Shamrock Rovers, with both matches taking place in Los Angeles. Wolves first ever meeting against Irish opposition came in May 1890. Wolves beat Linfield Athletic 3-2 before losing to Ulsterville 4-2.
