Wolves have met Israeli opposition on just two occasions. At Molineux in October 1954 Wolves beat – possibly the most famous side to come out of Israel – Macabi Tel-Aviv 10-0 with Roy Swinbourne netting a hat-trick. In 1971 Wolves travelled to Tel-Aviv to face the national team and against were successful. This time Wolves won 3-1 thanks to goals from Derek Parkin, Paul Walker and Bobby Gould.
