Penalties: Wolves spot-kick was awarded for a foul by Bob Kane on Dennis Westcott. Alex Scott saved from Jack Hargreaves in the 66th minute.
Landmark: Due to injury to Sammy Burton, Jimmy Mullen becomes the youngest ever player to appear for Wolves in a League match. At 16 years and 43 days he is still not old enough to sign professional forms. His memorable day included his setting up of the first Wolves goal. After the match Mrs. Mullen says, ‘I’m pleased with Jimmy’. Leeds United’s Harry Sutherland also makes his League debut. This is also Wolves 500th Football League win at Molineux.
