Wolves first visit to this small Mediterranean Island came in February 1971. Wolves faced Marsa and won comfortably 5-1. In May 1985, Wolves second visit saw them play three matches. The first saw Mark Buckland, Alan Ainscow and Campbell secure a 3-0 victory over a Goza Select XI. Eight days later Wolves played Xewkija Tigers and again won this time 2-1 with Ainscow and Danny Cranie scoring. Between these two matches Wolves faced Shrewsbury Town and lost 5-2, Wolves scorers on this occasion were again Buckland and Chapman.
