Penalty: During the first-half and awarded for handball against Geoff Palmer who punched a Mike Doyle header over the bar. Dennis Tueart took the kick and hit the cross bar, Asa Harford netted the rebound. (In modern football Palmer would be sent-off and the pen is over the line!)
Protest: Late in the game two Wolves fans got onto the pitch and approached the dugout. They were quickly restrained and led away by the local constabulary.
