Penalty: Awarded for a foul on Peter Broadbent and had to be taken three time. The first scored and taken by Bill Slater was retaken as a Wolves player had encroached. The second attempt again taken by Slater was this time punched over the bar by John Hollowbread but again the referee ordered it to be retaken this time as a Spurs player had encroached. At the third time of asking Eddie Clamp took the kick and scored after taking a ‘Freddie Trueman like’ run up.
