Penalties: Spurs first penalty in the 26th minute was awarded for handball against Norman Bell, taken by Glen Hoddle and pushed around the post by Paul Bradshaw. Their second ten minutes later was awarded against Bob Hazell for tripping Peter Taylor. Bradshaw against saved but Taylor scored from the rebound.
Injury: Paul Bradshaw dislocated his finger saving the second spot-kick. Kenny Hibbitt replaced him between the sticks.
