State of Emergency: Due to the Miners’ strike and Power dispute the Government announced a state of Emergency on this day. Due to the circumstances the power to the floodlights was cut by 50% for ten minutes during the second-half. Ironically a minute or so after Rovers equalizer the ground was plunged into semi-darkness due to a partial power failure. It was restored ten minutes later.
