Ascoli FC

Italian Seria B side Ascoli formed in 1898, came to Molineux in the 1994/95 Anglo-Italian Cup. Wolves lost to a Marcato first-half strike and the Italians had Paolo Benetti sent-off ten minutes from time. Of the best known players to have donned the Ascoli shirt are the former Arsenal and Irish star Liam Brady and Oliver Bierhoff who netted both goals that won the Euro 96 Final for Germany against the Czech Republic.
