Fans: The day before the match a meeting is held at Baths Assembly Rooms. It is called by Supporters Club chairman Mr F J Somerville to consider the present crisis. A number of resolutions were adopted with the main one saying – ‘One regretted that the directors refused to make a full statement in public or through the press; another expressed the opinion that the continued lack of initiative and foresight by the directors and was the sole cause of the present position in the league, and if the club fell into the Third Division the responsibility would rest with the directors. The Directors were not present.
