Injuries: Just before half-time Notts County were reduced to just nine men as they lost their goalkeeper with an injury to his abdomen in stopping Archie Fellows. Mark Mellors was put into a hot bath and was medically attended to. At the same time, they also lost Thomas Prescott who sprained his ankle.
