Founded in 1918 and were the works team of the Lovell’s toffee-making company. Based in Newport, South Wales they disbanded in 1969. They were members of the England’s Western and Southern League’s as well as the Welsh League. They won the Western League in 1924 and 1939, the Southern League (West) in 1940 and the Welsh League on six occasions 1938, 1939, 1946, 1947, 1948 and 1966. They reached the Welsh Cup final twice, beating Shrewsbury Town in 1948 before losing to Cardiff City in 1959.
