Wolves have only faced Greek opposition on two occasions and never at Molineux. The first in February 1972 saw Wolves draw 1-1 against PAOK Salonika with Derek Dougan scoring. The second occasion in April 1980, Wolves drew with Greek champions AEK Athens 2-2. Wolves had led 2-0 at the brake with both goals coming from Andy Gray.
