Push-Bike: This match took place in conjunction with a cycle tournament. It is said the cycling tournament was attracted by one of the finest, if not the finest, collection of racing celebrities ever seen at a meeting in Europe.
Attendance: It is said the crowd of 35,000 was at the time the biggest ever seen in Birmingham. Some estimates have the attendance as his as 50,000. Known as the Aston Lower Ground it had been opened the previous Saturday with their League match against Blackburn Rovers.
