Injuries: John Harris making only his second League appearance and his first at Molineux was carried off after just fifteen minutes with a broken shin bone following a challenge from both Jimmy MacEwan and Victor Crowe. Villa’s Gordon Lee was struck by a bottle thrown from the Waterloo Road Stand but was able to continue after treatment.
