Born: Jump, South Yorkshire, 25 September 1946; Died: Austerfield, Doncaster, 4 November 2013.
Career: WOLVES juniors, professional 1962, Lincoln City in Jly 64, Barnsley in Jly 66, Worcester City 1970, Brierley Hill Alliance.

Barton joined WOLVES straight from school but he failed to make the grade at Molineux and joined Lincoln City. He spent two seasons there an made 30 appearances netting one goal as Lincoln City had to apply for Re-election in both 1965 and 1966. He transferred to Barnsley and went on to help them to promotion to the Third Division in 1967 in the runners-up spot. He made a total of 68 at Oakwell netting three goals before dropping out of League football.
