Dick Baugh joined Wolves from Stafford Rangers and after having spell with the Reserve in the Birmingham & District League, Baugh soon became a regular first team member. His biggest disappointment whilst at Molineux was having to miss the 1921 FA Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur though injury. In April 1921 he joined Cardiff City but a joint FA-Welsh FA Commission found the move was illegal and fined Cardiff City £50 and Baugh himself £20 with a censure. He had been lured to Cardiff by an agent. Following Wolves promotion back to the Second Division in 1924 Baugh joined First Division local rivals West Bromwich Albion.

He went on to make 65 appearances for the Throstiles and suffered Relegation 1927. He signed for Exeter City and made a further 62 senior appearances netting five goals and in 1930/31 he helped the Third Division (South) club to the FA Cup Quarter finals. Dickie Baugh retired in May 1936 after four seasons with Kidderminster Harriers having helped them to the Birmingham & Distinct League Runners-up spot in 1935.
