Beattie, David

Beattie born in Belfast on Christmas Day 1964 joined Wolves as an apprentice in October 1980. He played for Irish club side Crusader reserves at just thirteen years old and replaced his brother ‘Noel’ in the first team after he was transferred to Glentoran. Beattie who had trial a Liverpool played for Northern Ireland Schoolboys Under 16 team. He made seven appearances for Wolves in the FA Youth Cup, helping the side to the 1982 Semi-final. Beattie made 38 starts for the reserves in the Central League with his first coming against Manchester United on 11 April 19811. He left the club at the end of the 1982/83 season.
