Lisbon based, Portuguese side Belenenses, were formed in 1919. The have won their Nation championship once, in 1946 and the cup on six occasions. Wolves faced Belenenses in the 1973 and won both legs of their UEFA Cup meeting. The first leg at the Amenco Thomaz Stadio was a fiery affair which saw both John Richards and Beleneneses’s Belen sent-off.
