Frank Bolton a junior with club made a record number of appearances in the FA Youth Cup. In the first three seasons of the competition he didn’t miss a match making 20 appearances. He picked up two runners-up medals, losing to Manchester United in both 1953 & 1954. A Half-back Bolton also made 13 appearances for the Reserves before transferring to Bromsgrove Rovers.
