Injury: Wolves were reduced to ten men with three minutes left (one and half mins in to stoppage time) when goalkeeper Gary Pierce limped off with ligament damage. He was replaced between the sticks by Bobby Gould. Frank Munro also suffered ligament damage and both players are out of the end of season tour of Norway.
Crowd Trouble: 10,000 Wolves fans travelled to Burnden Park and there was trouble all over the town. The troublemakers used fists, beer bottles and glasses. There were 34 arrests and 42 ejected from the ground.
