Wally Brown a winger was born in Oakengates on 8 February 1921 and started his career with his home town club. He joined Walsall as a junior and turned professional in October 1940. He went on to make 21 appearances netting four goals for the Fellows Park club before moving to Worcester City in 1948. He made just the one appearance for Wolves guesting against Manchester United in April 1942. Brown passed away in 1982.
