Born in Lower Gornal on 11 May 1934 Len Cooper started with Wolves juniors and turned professional in May 1953. He had scored eight goals in eighteen appearances for the clubs Reserves and scored fifteen goals in twenty FA Youth Cup appearances which included two finals against Manchester United in 1953 and 1954. Cooper an England Youth International transferred to Walsall in February 1956 and scored in his first two League appearances. Cooper died in 1992. (Career League Appearances: 5, Goals: 2).
