Hadley Football Club were based in Shropshire and they the first Wolves beat to take a trophy, the trophy being the Shropshire Cup. Wolves travelled to Eyton Park, Wellington on 31 May 1884 and came away winners by 11-0. Brodie netted six and Lowder three others.
