Penalties: Wolves first penalty was awarded for a foul by Fred Gibson on Billy Hartill who was subsequently carried from the pitch. Penalty number two was awarded for charging Harry Marshall. Marshall missed his attempt, but the Referee ordered a retake for encroachment against Gibson, Marshall netted the retake.
Discipline: Play was that rough that the Referee called a halt to the match after 35 minutes and called all the players to the centre-circle and administered a general warning.
Injury: Centre-half Reg Hollingworth collapsed suffering from concussion after the match and was taken to the Queen Victoria Nursing Institute.
Landmark: Will Lowton makes his 100th League appearance and Billy Barraclough nets his first Wolves goal.
