Missing: Wolves were missing Paul Butler with a head injury, Joleon Lescott a groin injury and Nathan Blake with concussion, Lee Naylor who woke up at the clubs hotel with a flu virus was only passed fit enough to take a place on the bench.
Exercise: At the end of the match Portsmouth carried out a safety exercise. They emptied three parts of the ground by escorting them across the pitch. Wolves fans were kept in the ground for some twenty minutes.
