Penalty: With Wolves winning 3-2 they were awarded a penalty for a foul by Fred Broadhurst. George Garratly though had his effort saved and inside a minute Preston equalized.
Injury: Preston’s half-back Tom Broome was carried off just before half-time after a ‘meeting’ with Harry Howell. Fortunately for North End he returned for the second-half.
