Renton FC

Renton FC were a Scottish League Club. They were formed in 1872 and went out of business in 1922. The took part in the first ever Scottish Cup ties and won the competition twice. They were also founder members of the Scottish Football League. Renton are one of the first clubs to have laid claim to the (unofficial) title Champions of the World when in 1888, as Scottish Cup holders, they challenged and beat the English Cup holders West Bromwich Albion.
