Ex Wolves player Mark Crook set up the world first Football Academy Wath Wanderers. They were formed as Brampton Welfare before becoming Wath Wanderers during the Second World War. They played in the Northern Intermediate League alongside many other professionals clubs as well as the Sheffield League for the younger players.
In the third or so years they are known to have used some 949 players of which 205 signed for Wolves.
Many thanks must go to Chris Brook for the hours of research and of course for allowing me to add there list of players to Wolvescompletehistory.
