Wolves (0) 0: Hassall, Baugh, Dunn, Griffiths, Malpass, Wood, Wykes, Black, Butcher, Fleming, Tonks.
Referee: Lt W Simpson (Finsbury Barracks, London).
Crowd: During the game the fans broke down the barriers and got on to the pitch. The game was held up for six minutes whilst mounted Police put an end to the problem.
Protest: Wolves put in there first ever protest on the grounds of crowd encroachment. The protest failed and Wolves had to pay the expenses of the Referee and Linesmen who also had to travel to Derby for the hearing. The protest included fact the referee did not ply enough injury time.
